I’ve always wanted the chance to draw Mass Effect’s gorgeous aliens in their ‘full glory’. Yes, I am one of those people that thinks that Javik could have wings because the Collectors did. Kirrahe is here because he is a spectacular example of his race. The nips were left off Liara because of personal censorship and laziness. Sorry if an alien race you like was left off the post. In the meantime, have some alien butts.

I feel like Bioware missed out on an opportunity to deliver a huge emotional punch by not having Tali turn around after she removes her mask on Rannoch. I was so disappointed. :(

On a serious note, how moving would it have been if this is where they had revealed Tali’s face? After she takes it off, the camera swings around and she says that last line and the player gets to see her (everyone, not just those who romanced her).
Missed opportunity Bioware.
Agreed. As much as the gif makes me giggle, I rage a bit that you don’t get to see it unless she’s romanced, and even then it’s a shoddy photoshop. The only way Rannoch could have been even more satisfying was to see her turn around, fully textured, and see how happy she was to be home. That would’ve been amazing. But the removal of the mask, just to get nothing, took a little wind out of my sails in the first playthrough.
It bothered me so much because as that scene played out, it felt right for the reveal. It’s the end of Tali’s character arc and her people’s struggle, the removal of the mask was symbolic and hopeful … It didn’t have to be an amazing render, it could’ve just been a human face they made using their editor and tweaked it (like Traynor) and add in a nice texture. It would’ve been a little extra work, but it would’ve made the game that much better.
